BOCK AUDIO is a Southern California company hand building high end custom microphones for the recording industry.

David Bock, one of the most experienced vintage microphone people in the US today, is the man behind BOCK AUDIO.  David spent years at the US's most famous studios as the tech, including Hit Factory, Ocean Way and Hyde Street. He then went on to co-found Soundelux Microphones which enjoyed great success from 1996 to 2006. In 2007, David formed BOCK AUDIO to carry on his personal designs developed over the past ten years.

BOCK AUDIO's purpose is to deliver the highest possible audio performance in microphones at affordable prices. The unique advantage of BOCK AUDIO is David Bock's personal experience in working with top engineers in crafting a mic to sound like they want it to in a variety of rooms for a variety of talent.

TransAudio Group founder Brad Lunde recognized David Bock's unique ability to engineer to a "sound". Many modern mic makers just build a mic and then try to sell its sound. David Bock finds out what sound people want, then builds a mic to sound that way. This talent has led many of our industry's most highly regarded engineers and vocalists to depend on David's microphones for their most important work.
